Program Structure

A practical, step-by-step path for financial planners who want to use AI in their daily practice — from the fundamentals of working with AI tools, through building custom AI assistants and content systems, to running a fully AI-supported prospecting and client experience engine. Every module is built around real use cases, with an ongoing focus on doing this safely, ethically, and in a way that protects client data.

MODULE 1
Prompt Engineering & LLM Mastery, Part 1: Foundations of Professional AI Use

 1. When does the program start? The program begins Tuesday, 22 September 2026, with sessions running through the final assessment on Tuesday, 15 December 2026. See the full program schedule above for session dates and times.

2. What is the format of the sessions? The program is delivered online and consists of 12 structured training sessions combining expert instruction, practical demonstrations, implementation activities, and real-world applications, plus 3 live workshops for hands-on practice, Q&A, and case study review. All sessions are recorded and made available afterward.

3. What is included in the program? The program includes access to all sessions and workshops, assignments, assessments, implementation resources, and supporting materials, plus recordings of every session for later review.

4. How long is each session? Each session is approximately 2 hours, designed to deliver practical, actionable knowledge without unnecessary theory.

5. How long do I have access to the content? All sessions are recorded, so if you miss a live session you can catch up. Participants retain access to the recordings, assignments, and supporting materials for 6 months after the final assessment on 15 December 2026.

6. Is this program suitable for beginners? Yes. The program is designed for all levels, including financial planners with no prior experience in AI. Everything is explained step by step.

7. Do I need any technical background? No technical or programming knowledge is required. The training focuses on practical use, not technical complexity.

8. Will I learn tools I can use immediately? Yes. The program is entirely practical, focusing on tools and workflows you can apply immediately in your practice.

9. Are the AI tools included in the program free? Most tools presented are free or low-cost, and the program guides you on how to use them effectively without significant investment.

10. Can my assistant attend with me? Yes. One assistant can attend under the same registration, making it easier to implement what you learn in your practice.

11. What results should I expect from this program? By the end of the program, you will be able to:

12. Will I receive a certificate? Yes. Upon completion, you will receive a digital certificate recognizing your knowledge and practical application of AI in financial planning.

16. What FP Canada CE credits will I receive upon completion of the program? The program provides a total of 30 FP Canada CE credits upon successful completion, including 20 General credits and 10 Financial Planning credits.

17. What is the cancellation policy? Cancellations received on or before Tuesday, 22 September 2026 are eligible for a refund, less an administration fee. No refunds will be issued after this date, except at the sole discretion of IFAAcademy.
